Save the Pygmies!

As many of you know, it has been the Castillo family mission to see people’s lives transformed.  We want to see people become all that God created them to be.  We also want to see God’s kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven.

The manifestation of God’s kingdom means that people are healed physically, mentally and emotionally.  It means that they know God’s love for them personally.  It means that all people are loved and taken care of.  The hungry get fed.  The naked get clothed.  The sick receive medical care.  People are given the opportunity to provide for their own families through the creation of jobs or the learning of trades.  The good news of Jesus is preached at home and abroad.

Recently our family has been presented with the opportunity to see our family mission fulfilled through a ministry called Impact Nations.  RK would like to go with them to Burundi, Africa on behalf of our family and do many of the things that we just spoke of.

During the day they will be performing free health clinics where they will provide health care to people who do not usually have access to it.  They will be meeting with leaders of the community to help micro-finance small businesses.  In the evenings they will be telling people about Jesus and seeing God supernaturally heal people in large evangelistic-style campaigns.

And we will even get a chance to go minister in a Pygmie village!

As many of you know, this has been a dream of ours:  To see the gospel preached, the needs of the people met, and the transformation of entire nations.  The people at Impact Nations seem to be doing just that.  RK would be going to help in any capacity he can and learn to lead these “Journeys of Compassion” ourselves.

We just got back from our first Ultra Sound!

I found out I would be a Daddy again on Father’s Day of this year.

Not bad for a first Father’s Day right?

So….

We were trying to find a good midwife in Albuquerque and had a tough time.

The one we ended up going with is the best in the city.

So we will be having the baby at our place on…

Feb 18!

We’ve had a great time in the last few months doing ministry all over the world, seeing people saved, healed, delivered & trained up to find their place in God’s plan to disciple the nations.

And we have another big announcement!

No….Kelike isn’t pregnant again!

About 8 months ago I (RK) was praying at the International House of Prayer and God spoke to me and told me that this was my last year with Team Xtreme.

As Kelike and I began to pray about what we were supposed to do, Kelike felt like God told her he would tell us in November.  So all we could do was wait!

Then we were staying with a lovely family in Ohio and our friend told us God would make it clear to me while I was in India what we were supposed to do.

Long story short….This is what he showed us.

Starting in February we will be working with Pastor Alan with New Life City in Albuquerque, NM for a year.  Basically learning the ins and outs of running a church, training people in Evangelism, Signs & Wonders, taking people on Missions Trips.  All kinds of stuff…

Then in 2011 we will make another move to Hawaii.

I’ve had a dream for many years to have a training center where I could train people in my passions of Evangelism, Signs & Wonders & Discipling Nations.

Our move to Hawaii will be the beginning of that.

We also believe that out of this training center we will plant a church that has that same focus.

So that’s it!

Don’t know how it will all work out but it will.

We’ve been in Spain for over a week now and have seen God do some amazing things.

Here’s some stories of what God has been doing:

3 Kids Healed on the Streets

While putting up flyers to advertise for the show, a bunch of the TX team members began to talk to some young people.  They were all sitting around on benches in a town square.  RK got some words of knowledge.  They told the young people that someone had pain on the right side of neck, someone else had a pain in leg and pain in a specific spot on the back.  The youth said they didn’t have any of those things. They walked over to another group of young people just a few benches down.  They talked to them and asked if they had any of those pains.  They had all three.  So the team prayed for them and all of them got healed.  RK spotted the leader of the group and asked God to give a specific word for him.  He felt like God said that he would have a dream which would confirm to him that God is real.  In the mean time, one of the translators walked up to the first group and told them that the other group had had all those pains and to ask them why they no longer had them!  They were all buzzing with excitement when we left.

Dream in the Night

Meanwhile, RK continued to talk to the kid who was going to have a dream from God.  He told RK that Team Xtreme would be doing an assembly at his school in 2 days and he would tell us if it happened or not.  Sure enough, he found us at his school and had had a dream.  He said it was just unexplainable.  God revealed himself to him!

Tasted Something Better Than Pot

During our show there was a group of people smoking marijuana.   RK went up to them after the show and began to share with them how God is way better than pot and that God would give them a taste of how good he is.  He told them they could give up the marijuana and save a bunch of money!

One guy said “You know how much money I spend on this stuff!  If I didn’t buy this anymore I could buy a house!”

So RK prayed for him to experience the power of God and he felt it all over his body!

Then RK told him that he would pray for other people and they could experience the same thing.  RK told him to start with the guy standing next to him.  He prayed for him and that guy also could feel God!

God really is good and he loves to reveal himself to his people…even drug users!

On to Africa

Tomorrow we head off to Morocco.  The city we are going to is part of Spain but in North Africa.

Pray for us that God would continue to show himself as good to all the people.

Guy Gets Out of Wheel ChairFiled Under: RK & Kelike Blog

Here’s the video testimony of the guy who got out of the wheel chair. He jumped off his roof cause his ladder feel down and snapped the two bones in the bottom part of his leg.

He had surgery on it and wasn’t able to walk on it for over 2 months.

He rolled up to me in his wheel chair and I asked him to stand up. We prayed and asked him how it was. It was only a little better the first time we prayed. So we prayed again and asked him how it was and he just started crying. You can still see his tears in the video!

He came in a wheel chair and walked away pushing his own wheel chair.

Praise Jesus!
